Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors is a hub for everything student related to Microsoft, technology, and the global Imagine Cup competition. These opportunities see you learn new skills, solve real-world problems, and build a student tech community.
This article covers some of the ways, as a student, that you can get a foot in the door with Microsoft.
Join the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors program
Formerly known as the Student Partner program, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors is a wonderful way to seek an opportunity with Microsoft. The program provides a platform for students in STEM subjects to take advantage of Microsoft technologies at their own college or university!

As a student ambassador, you’ll find yourself around like-minded students from around the world, to empower you to build a local technical community at your school. You’ll have the capacity to aid your fellow students to code with Microsoft technologies, and even run your own hackathons!
If you’re looking to get into the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors program, you can apply now! There’s no time like the present to get in on such an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Joining the program not only gives you a way to network with technical professionals and student peers, but you also get some epic benefits that you don’t want to miss!
Sign up for the Imagine Cup competition
The Imagine Cup is a student innovation competition that has been run by Microsoft since 2003! It brings together the most ingenious minds from around the world to solve real-world problems through technology.

It’s a fantastic way to collaborate and innovate with like-minded students globally. Share ideas about the technology you’re passionate about and build something that could change the world. Along the journey, you’ll build skills, relationships, and unlock your true potential that will continue with you through your life.
In time for Microsoft Build, lucky finalists from around the world come together in Seattle, the home of Microsoft. Here they compete for a chance at winning the Imagine Cup. The winner gets the opportunity to work alongside Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, to bring these incredible concepts to life.
Even without the win, the opportunity to travel to the home of Microsoft to network with industry tech professionals is one to take! You may even discover your first paid position in the commercial world of software working for leading companies.

From AI and data to developer technologies and Azure, you’ll find an event that fits your technology niche. These run fairly frequently, and you can discover what is coming up on their community site.
